I have a feeling Old Style is the best place for this.

Old style Marmite?
I'd give it a try; as far as my limited knowledge tells me, it isn't likely to have mutated into anything evil, is it? There's one way to find out!
Usual cautions apply - don't give to the very young (probably shouldn't anyway), the elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding women or anyone with a compromised immune system.
That leaves me, I think

I'm sure we've had this sort of Q before
I'll repeat my answer - I wouldn;lt eat it whatever date it was, as Marmite smells of bottoms

I don't think I've ever checked the date on marmite... I assumed it was like tar and lasted forever. But I'd eat it... and cook with it... actually mostly I eat it on it's own, probably when I need salt (I do the same with gentleman's relish - Penny probably doesn't like that either:D)

jeez - apply the common sense test - if it looks like marmite, smells like marmite and tastes like marmite - then eat it! if its growing mould, smells funny or tastes funny - then dont eat it!

Interesting results so far. By the way, I've deliberately left out the option of "I hate it but if I did like it then I would eat it", because if you don't like marmite you're just not qualified to answer.0

We have just thrown away the last bit of a jar that was well out of date, but it did still taste ok - but it had thickened and wouldn't spread, just sat on the bread on lumps
If your jar is unopened it should be fine, but if not, try it.

id prob try it. dont all jars like that say once opened consume within 6 weeks?
