Tesco £20.30 for 9 bottles of wine delivered!

I ordered 3 Lindemans Red and 6 Lindemans Chardonnay - delivery was this evening but my local Tesco had run out of the Chardonnay! I had selected the "do not substitute" option when I ordered as I was concerned I may end up with 9 mixed bottles so only the three reds were delivered.

However - I'm not sure how this worked, but...

3 Sydney Cove Red @ £5.99 --> total 17.97
Cost of products pre-promotions 17.97
Service Charge 3.00
Promotion Savings -7.97
Coupons -10.00
Total Cost of shopping 3.00

Yep, it works, if you download the calculator spradsheet from the 1st post and put in your details, it should be £2.10 in total. But as you only had 3 bottles, not 6, you didn't receive the 5% discount, which in your case would have been 90p. Thus the total is £3.00, you basically paid for delivery for free wine haha well done :beer:

Just had mine delivered - However only 3 bottles delivered

Nothing available on subsitutions

glad to hear all the lindemanns orders are coming through, especially ones which remembered not to allow substitutions

Seems this could be a monthly deal with new wines! Will keep it updated as have done today each month

Mine just arrived. Nine bottles of Tesco Australian Red as a substitute. And they didn't price match. They charged me the full £3.79 per bottle (less 6+ bottles discount and £10 code).

How rude!!

Turned it all away, and phoned CS for a refund of the delivery charge. I told them I was not happy that they had chosen an inferior substitute - I can't believe they didn't have any other red wine in store that was the same price per bottle as the Lindemans.

The delivery driver told me he was supposed to deliver a large order of champagne - £30 down to £10 he said - and they substituted the lot for £10 sparkling wine!! I bet he has a lot of returns this evening, poor guy.

Sorry to hear that sarahg1969 good job you kept your wits and told the driver to take it back. Are CS refunding the delivery charge?

If you'd like to try your luck today the new wines in the offer are up, have updated the 1st post, they're called 'Vina Albali'. Thought l'd recommend if you do, make sure to select "no substitutes" I am receiving my new order tomorrow, will let you all know how it goes!

Yes, they are.

I've bought the Vina Albali red and rose before when it's been on offer. It's perfectly quaffable.

I just need to find some codes - I can't bring myself to pay the full price!! :rotfl:

ETA: Just managed to get a code to work on one of the accounts we have. So I have 9 bottles of Vina Albali coming tomorrow.

Well create a new account, chose the option of having "no clubcard" and put it in your husbands/child's name of the house and reuse the £10 off voucher. After all it's perfectly acceptable to presume they want to create their own account and make their own separate orders

The Tesco delivery guy was amazed at the price and the fact that they were all there with no substitutions!
