BR Friendly childs savings accounts

Strange thread title I know but I just thought I would let you all know that I enquired about opening new accounts for my boys at the Yorkshire Bank, one boy is 10 so it will be in his name the other is 6 so I have to sign.

I said I am BR and that his Nan would be setting it up for him, and they said I can do it, as long as it is in his name it will be ok.

Thought this might be of interest to those with children who have had their accounts shut, as I think some have?
