Pension & Moving Abroad

Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone can help me.
I am 30 years old and have never had a pension, I have been wanting to start my pension for a while now, but have been temping. I should hopefully be taken on permanently in the near future and will start a pension plan then.
It's gets complicated where I intend on immigrating to Australia in the next 2 to 3 years. Would it be worth my while to start a pension in the U.K?
If so how would I go about accessing my pension money, would I transfer it to my pension account in Australia or keep it investing here in the U.K?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The attraction of pensions is the tax relief for people living in the UK.If you are going abroad, there is no point n putting money in a UK pension at all.Trying to keep it simple...

You will find that you MUST transfer any UK pensions to Australian super, or pay penal tax under the Australian FIF regime.
You'd want to compare the effects this will have in deciding.0
