I dont think Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrinais contemporary enough, plus he was his teacher and I didnt see him when googling. It is probably right though, Toniq has got all the answers right so it's fair to say she is good at the researching thing

I think the word contemporary is ambiguous - do they mean contemporary to Mozart and Allegri or contemporary to us, now? Combined with the phrase 'modern arrangement' I think they mean contemporary to us, now. So I've went with Willcocks

Arguably the most famous recording of Allegri's Miserere was that made in March 1963 by the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, conducted by Sir David Willcocks, which featured the then-treble Roy Goodman. This recording of the Miserere was originally part of a LP recording entitled 'Evensong for Ash Wednesday' but the Miserere has subsequently been re-released as part of various compilation discs.
