I feel really sorry for the original poster some of you seem to be coming across as really mean ,why be mean to people when they are asking for help and not give helpful advice .Whats wrong with people ????
How would you suggest that people in dire financial circumstances are assisted? Mislead them into believing that there is an easy solution?0 -
Ok, didn't mean to cause uproar, it was in my mind a fairly simple question, is it worth going interest only for a year.
I spoke about the other debts to give background as to why we were considering it.
I'm fully aware of our debt situation thank you, and I have actually posted on the DFW.
I thought this was a specific forum about mortgage questions, so I asked a question about a mortgage, whilst trying to give background.
Sorry for apparently asking in the wrong place and causing a row,
the post about a spammer, I sincerely hope is not directed at me. I'm nothing of the sort.
I have a thick skin, so I'm not offended, thanks to those who have helped, I'm not looking for an 'easy solution', I am trying to finally take control.0 -

By giving people alittle respect and not giving them advice as though they are total idiots .0 -
So have you phoned up your lender and asked if you can. No point asking forum until you know if you can or can't then advice will be more helpful and accurate. I can therefore should I?
Give them a ring now and find out if it is possible.0 -

To be blunt(and I was)
The clues were in the first post.
You have IVA you are ok paying?
But that is getting paid with day loans,
So even with a IVA your situation has got worse.
Good move to DFW once the SOA is done they will be able you guide you through your options.0 -

I'm not in an IVA. My husband is. An IVA is individual. The pay day loans were supposed to be short term, however things happen outwith your control sometimes which cause an issue.
I agree the situation has gotten worse, hence the question about going interest only for a year. I was asking if it was a useful idea to help make things better for us, get these loans paid off and move forward again.
I don't mind bluntness where it's helpful. Will get on to the SOA. I did take issue about this being in the wrong forum as I thought this was the right place for a mortgage related question.0
