What is the best way to get grease of the top of the cooker? Grease which is ground in and looks disgusting.0

Have you tried neat stardrops, if you leave it for about 15 mins to soak.... i know mine came up a treat. Might have to use a bit of elbow grease aswell.DiHoping that when I start looking after the pennies, and the pounds will take care of them selves :j0

I found hot water with washing up liquid and a cup of washing soda crystals worked astonishingly well! You do need to rinse it with a clean cloth afterwards, but I just couldn't believe how easily the grease came off.0

After years of struggling with expensive kitchen cleaning chemicals I tried Stardrops and can't believe how easy it makes what used to be a nasty job! I use it neat, squirt a little onto the hob, scrub it into the dirt and leave to soak a few minutes before setting to with a scourer. Follow with a good rinse and the hob is as good as new!0

I also use a cotton bud to get behind the dials on mine - I was amazed at how much gunk there was hiding in the cracks!:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0

I was trying to get rid of the grease between my cooker and the cabinet beside it.
. I rememberes someone suggested baking soda to clean the kitchen. I used a baking soda and water paste on the greasy side of the cabinet. It came right off beautifully. No scrubbing, no chemicals. Just baking soda. :j

Hi,
New kitchen and already has grease marks i cannot shift with my usual cleaner of white vinegar and lemon juice.
I was going to use soda crystals but its not recommended for laquered finishes?? My cupboard doors are a veneer type finish...cheap and cheerfula walnut look a like.
Has anyone please got a thrifty tip to shift these marks as no amount of rubbing with my usual stuff shifts them.
Thanks x0 -
