Fuming!!!

Just checked our bank account, to see I'd completely forgot to cancel the SO for the DMP  so now minus £150.00. So I have just rung the DMP company, to explain I cancelled the DMP to them before the date it went out the bank 29/03, so I'd of thought it would have been stopped there end, but because I have forgot to cancel it, they are charging us £35.00 just because I forgot to cancel it! I've just completely lost my rag with them, told the guy I spoke to, we've been paying £35.00 per mth since Jan 09, for there fee's, and there now charging me that, because I forgot to cancel it , also told him, how digusted I am the fact when I rung to cancel the DMP, I was told a complete load of lies, i.e, my DH couldn't go BR on his own, as we're married, and living together, and he just completely ignored me! Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to keep trading, how many more people have they lied to, and made money out of  Does anyone know where I have to go to complain about companies like this? Sorry rant over (and could really do with a smacked wrist for forgetting to cancel the SO, stupid stupid me!!)

Have just made a complaint through this:
Companies Investigation Branch (CIB) is part of the regulatory arm of the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS). It forms part of the Insolvency Service’s Investigations and Enforcement Services business although it is not limited to companies that have become insolvent. In fact, most of its investigations are into companies that are actively trading or which have ceased trading without going into formal insolvency proceedings.

the more people complain the better, thease people must be forced to toe the line or close down. just like the firm in manchester the oher week.

might just be a mistake on your wording but do you mean direct debit rather than standing order as they have different condtions, because the bank sends a SO whereas the receiver of the money claims the money from the bank with a direct debit,so if it was a SO you dont need to cancell it with the payee but with the bank, just thinking there migt be an angle there for you to look into?
  • have you gone, or are you preparing to go bankrupt?

if preparing, i suggest opening a coop cashminder ASAP, and chaning ALL your incoming money and essential bills to it, PRIOR to bankruptcy,

but be sure to explain that you are opening the account to handle affairs after bankruptcy when you open the account in branch or over the phone.

this way, any debt people cant get your cash without your permission.
    hope this helps
