When did they move Urquhart Castle south??

    LOL, I noticed that.

However I am sure European teens will be more "au fait" with Scottish geography than some of the natives.

:o och you know what I meant..... sorry, I think I was thinking how awful the Loch Ness centre was when I wrote that, that's what put me off...that's my excuse!! I'd not take a visitor there, they basically suggest she's not real..

Birches at Aberfeldy, Meikleour beech hedges (just outside Blairgowrie), Loch of the Lowes to see the Ospreys, Cargills Leap in Blairgowie (Cargill running from the Redcoats and leaped the Ericht and got away to warn Bonnie Prince Charlie or something along those lines lovely for taking pictures), skiing at Glenshee, Arbroath Abbey - decleration of Arbroath, Glamis Castle grounds, Scone Palace, depending on dates what about taking them to the races at Scone Palace, Law Hill Dundee, Mills Observatory Dundee, hope thats given you some ideas. Salmon Ladder in pitlochry, Loch Faskally

You're welcome, hope you have a wonderful time, there's nowhere in the world can beat this beautiful land of ours when the sun's out...:D

p.s. remember to use Tesco vouchers to save a bit of money on entry fees to castles, any theme parks etc...

We had the most fabulous weather last weekend and visited at least 6 of the tips you lovely people suggested. Apart from the fabulous scenery coming down Loch Ness, Glencoe etc., the Birks of Aberfeldy a firm favourite. I now have a passion to do it again...I really want to see what's out there, on my doorstep!

Depending on time for the return leg and how far you want to drive, I would take the A82 down to Drumnadrochit / Urquhart Castle (avoid the Loch Ness monster tourist thing), then perhaps take the A87 to Eilean Donan Castle and then up to Plockton. Then maybe up the A830 up to Glenfinnan.

Alternatively include the road across to Applecross which is a fantastic drive.

Do they not have a chairlift or something at the Nevis range to take you up for a scenic view?
