  • I don't know of any shops likely to offer a decent price for them. Does she have some sort of evidence that they belong to her? Some dealers are understandably wary of buying job lots from strangers. You may be able to find an interested market trader, or you and your daughter could try selling them yourselves at a car boot sale along with whatever you have lying around the house that you want to take. There's a Sunday market somewhere around Rutherglen (I can find out details if you want) which calls itself a car boot sale. I don't know how much the stalls cost, but last time I looked they were all dealers with vanloads of stuff rather than ordinary householders clearing out a carload of miscellany from their homes, so maybe one of them might be interested in buying them.
Another possibility is to sell them as a job lot on eBay.

Yes,they came from a large chain store( not in Scotland) ,they stopped replacing watch straps over a year ago,so excess stock, all legal etc, shame they bin quite a few things too.....as for selling them as job lot, they weigh a ton, would lose out on postage, unless for collection only,as i never have the buyers at my home,it might not be an option.I think maybe trying market traders might be the option,i'm sure The savoy centre,Forge, have stalls, just not sure, hence this post......thank you for your suggestions too....

  • If the total weight is between 10-20kg, Royal Mail postage would be £12.46 if you sold them as a job lot on eBay, which probably doesn't leave a great profit margin. I'm not sure if they could be posted cheaper with another courier.
