Charity help with fees

Have I seen somewhere that the British Legion can help with the fees involved with BR?
I am the ex wife of a serviceman, with two children to him.
If they do help has anyone had any experiance of this?

Try CAB. When we had our appointment they asked if my Hubby had been in the services. as they had a British Legion guy to specifically help with BR. You could also try ringing the Royal British Legion.
Best of luck.

Hi Dee
Yes they can help. You need to ring their legionline on 08457 725 725 (local rate) open 9am - 4 pm.
They will take your details and your local BL office will get in touch. In our case they sent a BL case worker round to see us who took all our details and then we got a referral to the BL caseworker who works out of our local CAB. She was very helpful with advice and information.
We could have had our BR fees paid however we had recently sold a car and used the money from this to pay for it. But was good to know the help was there if needed.

Hi,
Our CAB put me in touch with the Association of Charities, who took loads of details then sorced the best ones for our circumstances. Retail Trust helped us out as we had over 10yr of retail service. But we were alos given Jocky Fund (as I worked with horses) and a few others.
Good luckBSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0
