Questions re , children , banks ,baliffs , car .

Hi, [1] childrens accounts with builing soc . in my name , do i need to change into theirs or not ? same for child trust fund , although they say on paperwork you have to be 15 and they aren,t . looking at earlier thread makes me think i might be ok .
[2] banks what happens to pay as it is paid straight into the bank , how can you get hold of it , is there a differant way of being paid somewhere else?
[3] baliffs , when do they appear and what do they leave you with ?
[4]car , its a people carrier , i have three children , live in the country ,no buses and i have a back problem so its automatic . Its worth about £2000 , would this be taken away .Its not on lease or anything . I couldnt get to work if that went !

Open a basic account with either the Coop or Barclays - they are the only 2 banks guaranteed to allow bankrupts. Have you direct debits and pay transferred to the new account before BR - unless you live in Brighton area.

    Nothing about cars and bankruptcy is certain but it looks as if you will probably be able to keep the car if it is a necessity. Generally you need to have it for work.

    Nope - they definitely don't come to your house - I think they used to years ago but they simply don't have time for that sort of thing now.

    Have you spoken to any of the debt charities and read through the BR information sticky on the front page of this forum? All very useful information.
