Do mortgage lenders contact employers before completion?

Hi,
We are currently in the process of buying a house. We have exchanged and completion should be in approximately 1 month.
I have just been offered another job and am considering taking it. I was just wondering if the lender will contact my employer prior to completion to verify anything. I dont want to do anything which will jeopardise the house!! We have already supplied payslips and employers reference as part of the application process
Thanks

We have not had a completion date yet as the property is a new build and is not quite ready. It should have been ready at the end of february for completion in march but this has got delayed.
Any ideas if the lender will contact my employer before or on completion?0 -
they usually want proof of income for mortgage approval ,usually payslips.
They dont usually contact employers unless you dont have payslips .
As you have exchanged they must have approved your mortgage = deal done ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0
