Big day tomorrow, help please with final few questions

Bankruptcy tomorrow so the 31st March 2010 is a day that will live forever in my memory, not for the best of reasons but at least a weight will shift from my mind and I can start afresh.
Got a final few questions if anyone can help. I'm unemployed so my wife is paying all our bills and expenses from her earnings. With things like BT, council tax, house contents insurance, water rates they are either in my name or joint names so should we contact all the relevant providers and get them switched to my wifes name only? They are not included in my bankruptcy and there are no missed payments.
It's also the same with Sky and internet?
We now have one car that is owned by my wife and I'm a named driver on the insurance so should we tell the insurance company about my bankruptcy?
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

As long as they are not in arrears you will be fine, I never included any of mine in them. The only thing to be careful about is your insurance policies. You would be better checking the wording of them as some have clauses in them about BR. My house insurance did and when it was due for renewal they wanted a lump sum to keep the policy. I went on to gocompare.com which has a facility in its search for BR, I actually got a cheaper quote for both my house and car insurance and was still allowed to pay by instalments.
Good luck for tomorrow to both of you.:pB&SC No. 298
