Vivitar 390H PVR / camera 20GB £99!!

in It's gone, but was it any good?
This unit is v similar to the archos, though the gui isn't quite as attractive. It has a 20GB HDD and big screen and 3 Megapixel camera which is detacheable. The bonus is that it reads SD cards too!!

    I don't think this has any PVR functionality. It can only record into mp3 format. Plus it doesn't have the correct connectors.

    Headphones ( mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm )
    Microphone ( sub-mini phone mono 2.5 mm )
    USB ( mini-USB Type B )
    DC power input
    Docking station
    Do not speak- unless it improves on silence.

    Even for £99 this is really a total pile of poo!!!I have one and it really is the pits.The sound is never in sync or you get this loud ticking sort of noise over the top.When trying to record the screen goes all weird or the all the picture goes blue.I would really save your money and get an archos if you can afford it.

    fair enough - but it is a pvr as it has av in and av out - so can be hooked up to a dvd player or vcr and recorded to and so on....

    They fail to mention on their website that these are refurbs.
    I've had to send 2 back and have asked for a refund.
