Im helping my mum claim her bank charges back with the help of this site, she's had her statements, and has wrote off asking for the charges back, they have wrote telling her they have received he request and she will hear from them shortly?? this is with Halifax.
She is also claiming her unfair charges from capital one, they sent a letter with all the charges on, she asked for them back, from what we can work out the day they received the request, they sent a letter stating as she was over the credit limit she was breaching their t&c's and would require her to pay enough to bring the account back under the limit.......The card has been over the limit for 2 years and she hasnt used it for the same amount of time and its -mainly- their charges that have kept it over the limit (also the fact she is skint) They are threatening court action and all the rest......
