HELP! need to create something for school tomorrow!

...as per usual I have left it until the last minute!
My son (6) needs to take into school tomorrow a hard boiled egg decorated as a favourite TV, Story, Film character and he can also make a house for it to go in.
There will be a prize for the winning egg in each class - and yes I am a very competitive Mummy! :-)
So, what can I do with a few art bits I have laying around (few bits of fabric, paint, card in limited colours) and a Tesco Metro to raid!
Don't want to go to down the mainstream character route like Ben 10 etc as I think the teachers won't know who they are, ideas please.....quickly!!!:D

Could you also paint a small box for spiderman and make it look like the outside of a building. You could use angel hair to make a web in one cornerNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
http://www.flickr.com/photos/theresasthompson/2371502732/ saw these and wondered how about doing a really simple version of the head teacher if they have any strong characteristics that stand out, eg huge red glasses!

I know some of these are a bit grown up for him but thought they might give you some ideas to work fromNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
How about Mr Potato Head from Toy Story? (Haven't looked at the other links so sorry if someone else has already suggested this!)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
My 7 year old step son arrived at ours at 8pm on sunday night informing his dad that he needs an egg decorated to take to school following morning. So as it was very near to bedtime we all rallied round and created a humpty dumpty character complete with wall.
Made a wall out of a cardboard box and cut a hole in the top to sit the egg in, made legs and arms for humpty, stuck on eyes, drew on a big smile, made him a belt and buckle and a dickie bow and he even had shoe laces in his shoes. Took us no longer than 15 minutes and looked lovely, however I would have loved to have had the time to do something much more imaginative and skillful - my daughter is almost 15 and I miss doing stuff like that with her so it was a special treat for me.
One year I blew an egg and made it look like a fish, I put invisible thread threw it and suspended it in a box that was painted to look like an aquarium - it did however take a lot longer than the humpty egg.0 -
Oh wow thank you all, some great ideas!
Love the Spiderman and the 'Egg Wars' but not sure of my time factor.
Humpty might be a good one, but worried that others may of done the same.
Not sure the head would find it funny, he's only just started at the school so not sure how he would take it!
Mr Potato head is a great idea, but again not sure I could find the right materials in time to make it obvious who he was, knowing my luck it would just look like an egg man!
Going to go through each link again.....please keep them coming, its going to hit me soon! :-)0 -

We just did Total Eggout - like total wipeout -painted 4 eggs red - like the 4 big red balls and stuck them onto an upturned shoebox lid painted blue, then made one little egg person with a headband made out of a cut up hair bobble with card board feet. Looks fab and is really simple to do (although it uses more eggs)
Or could do the eggs-factor or 11egg instead of 118 menMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Thank you again - not sure I could pull Eve (Wall E) off and make it really look like Eve but.......
Dorastar, The 'Eggs' Factor is fab!!!, think I can pull it off in one evening with washing and tea still to cook....love it!!!! Thanks!

Might be a bit time consuming, but how about the Magic Round-a-bout? You could decorate an egg as each character, make a round-a-bout out of cardboard and place them on it!
(Idea comes from a 15 year long grudge about my egg decorating competition days when I was in primary school. I remember one year I entered it and the winner had a motorised ferris wheel with all the eggs riding it. Cheating b*gger LOL!)0
