Cake Filling help

I am making a cake for my DD2's birthday on Sunday and althoughI have the cake planned out (i.e what shape how to ice etc) I am at a loss as to what to put in it! The trouble being she is not a fan of buttercream and she does not really like cream whipped either. I was going to put jam in with something else but I don't know what!! Any ideas, bear in mind she is only 4. Thanks for any help.

Cream cheese frosting? Icing sugar, cream cheese and a little milk to soften the consistency.
  • My kids favourite is nutella in a birthday cake
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • Someone brought a chocolate cake into work that had been filled with whipped creme fraiche. A little icing sugar had been mixed in to sweeten it and then crushed tinned mandarins added. It was delicious.

Thanks for that, sounds a bit like a light cheese cake filling, and that will probably appeal (she loves HM cheesecake!).
