Standard Life endowment - is there a market ?

I'm looking to value a Standard Life Homeplan critical illness / life endowment policy taken out to cover a previous residence in 1996. However since its 50:50 with-profits / unit linked is there a market out there ? I'm going to make some calls tomorrow but can anyone share their experiences on these policies ?
