Putting additional name on mortgage/ property

Hello. Could fellow forumers advise on how to go about adding an additional name to a mortgage/ land title/ deed, how long it takes and how much it costs? Apologies if this has been answered before. Many thanks.

This process is actually strange. It will involve the solicitor again for the title deeds which are now done electronically. As for the additional name on the mortgage, you will have to ask the lender. Usually this will be a new mortgage application also. They will have to carry out a new credit check.
Is there a reason you are doing this? If you are worried about what happens if you die and if the house will be passed on. A simple 'will' can sort this out.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

to remortgage the house you need to ask for mortgage company.
you can't add a name to a mortgaged house without the consent of the mortgage company either.0
