direct debit indemnity advice for HSBC

Cahoot "accidentally" took a £75 loan payment twice as it is in the process of switching the loan to Santander. They told me to claim back through direct debit indemnity through my bank HSBC as this would be quicker for me. I rang HSBC on Saturday and they said it would be back in my account in 2 working days. As I don't trust Indian call centres, I went in to my bank in person yesterday and asked them if it was going to go through. Yes, it would do they said but it may take more than 2 working days because it will be in a queue of other ones that need doing. My mortgage is due to go out shortly and what with the Easter weekend, there are lots of problems this could cause. The guy at HSBC was a bit blase and more or less said I didn't really have any rights as it wasn;t like a proper complaint and i would just have to wait and see and they could put it back in when they wanted. Is this right? Does anyone know if i can put my foot down with them at all? We are on 2 working day this morning and its still not in my account. Any advice welcome.
