Kitchen Composter

Hi
A friend bought us a groovy kitchen composter. Unfortunately they provided no instructions. It came with a bag of filters ?? I am not sure where these go, and am also unsure if I need a compost accelerator added to the kitchen waste.
Any tips on getting the compost going would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Ross

Does it look anything like THIS?
If it does, then you should find advice on the Wigglywigglers site. If not, is there any chance you can post a pic so we can get an idea of what you were given, so that we can try and help you.
EDITED to add:
It might actually be the Odour Free Indoors Compost Caddy, if so then it isn't actually a composter but a caddy designed to save you trekking out each time you have waste. The filters are designed to cut down on smells building up in your kitchen.

it looks identical to the ceramic jar that they are pulling the eco sac from in your second link.
Its a ceramic jar with holes in the lid. I have seen some with a tap at the bottom to drain the excess fluid , this seems a better idea. mine seems to be a glorified bucket !Easy Money0
