Alliance & Leicester - What are they playing at?

I know there have been quite a few posts regarding A & L service so this is to warn people what is going on from my experience.
Application after DIP went in at the begining of February, I know the credit search went through on 10th February. Finally last Thursday the survey was carried out (25th) my broker informed me today that A & L have the results but would not release the details as they are still working on the 19th, so I will have to wait until after Easter to know what the valuation is.
What is going on, I have now wasted over two months and am still none the wiser as to whether I should move on.
The excuse of the merger should is not good enough, they should have this project sorted so it should be seamless!!
