Could we include Car finance in this thread?
I got car finance through British Credit Trust via car loans for you so was able to choose my own dealer and car.
Service from BCT has been good although I have made every repayment on time. The APR was high though 36.6%!!
Paying £166 a month for a car valued at £4500 is a lot but seeing as I only have myself to blame for being a !!!!!! with my finances in my younger days I have little ground to complain!
Hopefully once paid off I can get mainstream finance or altleast a respectable rate off BCT!
They only charged me 1 months payment for GAP insurance too which seemed extremely comeptitive!________________________________________

That interest rate stinks for a loan which is secured on the car:(0 -

I take it you needed the car badly?
You will have given them back £8000 by the time you finish the loan which is nearly double what you borrowed:o
I don't know how these lenders sleep at night? But that said I am sure it's on a nice luxurious mattress.0 -

Yes I needed a reliable car!! Was sick of my megane giving me problems lol.
For what I will have paid I would have been able to get a much newer car for the same price but hey ho! Hopefully this will be my last dealing with subprime as all the nasties drop off in 2012 and I might be considered a normal citizen lol.
If any one reading this is thinking of not paying their debts as they think its unenforceable/ they were missold, stop it and pay up! Its not worth it, life has been difficult! Imagine not having a credit card or any savings then your car breaksdown and you need 500 sheets but you dont have the money and cant get credit!
One day I shall be normal lol - at least I dont have to use Visa electron anymore though thanks to these clever new visa debit cards!________________________________________

All the best with your master plan mate, 2012 will be here before you know it:D0 -
It takes an honest person to admit when they are wrong, maybe a few MSE users could learn a lesson here. What a refreshing post. You have made my day.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
