Paying back debts are crippling me :S

Okay - basically, the debts that I am paying off are really haing a massive affect on my life - I rarely have a penny left over after the debt paymants come out, and thats usually 2 days after Pay Day!!

At the moment i'm paying off

Capital One - Through Capquest - £250 a Month
HSBC - Through MCS - £75 a Month
HSBC Visa - £160
Total - £485 p/m

Obviously i've defaulted the first two already - so really - I know my credit rating etc is screwed.. But is there anyway that I could get the payments lower maybe £75-100 each, just so I can actually start moving forward with my life. Not sure if I should see if CAB will deal with my creditor, or maybe someone else. I find them incredibly difficult to deal with, and very pushy with it.

First thing is to post a statement of affairs, all your incomings and outgoings so the numbercrunchers on here can see if they can save you some money somewhere. See the thread at the top for first time posters.

The CAB would probably help but as you've got money available for your creditors (though maybe not £485 per month) I think you ought to have a chat with CCCS or Payplan or both! See what they come up with. Links at the top of the page.

  • Its really difficult to do my SOA right now - bascially - i'm splitting up with partner and we shared living expenses. I really am living hand to fist, the only other way of saving money is by loosing my car, and I cannot really do this because commuting by train and bus would be just as expensive, plus I have to think about carrying around my little girl too. Its all a very depressive mess :(
