    I was on my own today with two colleagues off sick and the other three offsite, and I got a heck of a lot of work done holding the fort.

    Then I came home and dug the allotment, harvesting onions and garlic, instead of flopping and doing nothing, so all my time has been productively used today.
    The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

    :grinheart I have very bright blue eyes!!!!

    and I have worked really hard today, painting, rubbing down the table top and re-staining it, ... and I took back some stuff to the shops that I bought in the sale, (they werent the right colour once I'd got them home), ... and on the way home I called in to Tesco's and got some gardening stuff with 70% off, thanks to reading a post on this fandabbydozie website:j

    and its only week two of the school holidays ... four more to go then back to work ... at this rate I might have got to the bottom of my 'to do' list before September arrives and its back to work!
