Recieved letter ''your current state off affairs'' will smbdy please advise

Hi

I need some help please, i went the LILLA route and was awarded bankruptcy on September 2009
Today i received a letter called 'your current state of affairs' and i have to fill in details inc are you employed , is your employer aware off your sequestration, etc

Iam on incapacity benefit long term £105pw, industrial injuries £57.44pw and low rate DLA £18pw
Once all my bills, rent, council tax , elec etc are taking into account iam barely surviving so decided to go to college & do a coarse so that i can better myself and change career & to get off benefits so that eventually i can have a decent job ( i was a nurse and i have terrible health problems and osteoarthritis caused by my occupation )
Last week after consulting with my disability employment co-ordinator i took up a position , the position is only for 6 hrs pw, i took it on a permitted work bases partly because i am depressed doing nothing and to earn a little extra cash & hopefully might be able to aford a haircut lol !
I took the job & informed the employer it will be permitted work and they still offered me the job i was very pleased, however i have not told them that i went bankrupt & was hoping i would not have to.
The most i can make on permitted work is £92 pw but i doubt i will reach that amount.
I started work there last week but just on an induction/training which lasts for two wks & will be paid on the min wage untill i actually go out and do the job then i will be paid £8 ph
The letter is asking if i work ? how much i will be paid etc i will not know how many hrs i will be doing because it is on a relief basis but i will deff be doing the 6 hrs pw
what will happen here will i be expected to pay anything towards my creditors ? & will i have to tell the employer about my bankruptcy ? i really didnt want to

Thanks for any help anybody can offer

    Hiya worriedsik

It's not really anything to worry about. It's six months since you went bankrupt, so AiB send out this letter/form pretty much automatically.

Conicidentally, you've just got a job, but please don't think that's specifically why you've been sent the form.

All you can do is fill in the form with what you actually know.

As for your employer, why not give the AiB a quick call, anonymously if you want, and see what the 'Have you told your employer?' question is about. It might not be relevant to the type of work you're doing.

Thanks....i did think it was a coincidence ! i will also put on the form no i haven't told the employer but surly the AIB will need to find out the amount iam earning, they could check my bank account i would have no problem with them doing so.
Is there an amount off money which they allow you to have for living expenses ie food clothes etc...jeez i hope i dont have to tell the employer as i already feel bad enough doing it on permitted work !

    Thanks

I would have though that you're simply fill in your form with the information you have. If you want to explain a bit more, you can put in a letter explaining that you're just starting on this job, but that it is a guaranteed 6 hours per week, and what the wages will be.

If they need any proof of what you're earning, then you could send them payslips (once you have them).

There's no published amounts for what's allowed for food and clothes etc. But, from what people have said, it seems to be roughly the same amounts as the English Official Receivers allow.
