Who pays for the bridesmaid hairdressers and make up appointments?
Just wondering what all yours opinions are. Personally if I was a bridesmaid I'd offer to pay myself. But I have a feeling my bridesmaid thinks I should pay

If you are demanding she have the appointments then you pay.
It doesn't sound like you are - if she WANTS them- she pays.
well thats how I see it....:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -
Thanks tabskitten, that what I thought.
I've just asked her if she is having her makeup done, as I could get it cheaper if we booked together. Mum asked her when my mum booked my hairdressers if she was having her hair done as well as she'd make the appointments all together
Think wires are crossing - will get mum to have a word (we'll only argue over it otherwise)0 -
i know when i was bridesmaid for my sister she paid for my makeup. i paid for my own tan and hair but the makeup was a deal which my sister worked out and she paid for all of her bridesmaids makeup.
that's what i'll probalby be doing for my sister as well.
also she bought the dress but i bought my own shoes (as did all her bridesmaids) which was fine with me. all i did was get the comfiest shoes to match the dress and one's i would probably wear again.0 -
im having 3 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls
im paying for everything but the shoes(i asked if this was ok and they were fine with it)
1 of my bridesmaids doesnt want her make-up and hair done by the hairdressers which is fine but the rest im paying0 -
I would go halfs really I think that would be fair enough

when I was bridesmaid the bride paid for everything, I did offer to pay my bit since the other 2 BMs weren't in a position to but she refused.0

I'm paying for mine to have her hair & makeup done as my treat - I bought her dress & headress, she will buy her shoes & undies and she's wearing her own jewellery from her wedding day.0

I have said that i will be paying for their dresses, then anything else they want to be done for the day they will have to pay them selves as we just cant afford it. my OH is pushing me enough for hair and make up to be done and i saying we cant afford it! lol.
I have also said that shoes will be brought by each bridesmaid too. they all like different heights etc so will only ask that they are the same colour - if they want to pick the same in the end thats fine. I will prob find some sort of jewlery that we will buy as a present for them though.
if we can get a cheap offer on bits by doing all of us together then thats great!!:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!
Our little princess born 8th June - she is amazing!! :grinheart

I think I must be lucky, I am bridesmaid this coming June and the bride is paying for dress, shoes, hair, makeup, rooms, nails and jewellery!0

I suppose it depends on finances and budgets.
If I was a bridesmaid though I'd be offering to pay not assuming its being paid for me0
