BR and frozen Bank account

The big day has arrived. How quick is the OR at freezing Bank accounts, will it happen today ? Cheers.

  • As far as i know, when you have your quick chat with the OR today, tell them which account is your wages/income account and they'll say its ok to use it.

Mine is today too, so good luck. I'm nervous as anything, but know its a beginning to the end of the trouble I've had.

    Good luck xx

good luck for today, it isn't the OR that freezes accounts it's the banks when they find out you are BR.

If you have opened the basic account with co-op or Barclays tell the OR when you have your quick chat and they will advise the bank it is ok for you to use it.

The OR will not feeze your account but the bank will if you have a normal currant account.

Good luck to you too, is yours Morning or Afternoon ? I was up at 4am with this question/alarm bell running thru my head; the reason I asked was because I used my Cashminder Card buying groceries on Saturday and don't want to get into trouble with the Coop. I've got the account all organised with DD's etc. thanks to the help of the CCCS with that one ! Only 2 things worrying me at the moment are this account getting frozen and having my name in the local rag (but little poss of that I've been told)
Sorry, I'm ranting ain't I ? Do that sometimes when the nerves start jangling :o

auldblerk, the account should be fine, and it is unlikely you will be in the local paper, I think the OR only puts you in if they feel that the general public need to know, ours wasn't in the papers.

Relax, it will soon be over with, and you too dav_blackpool, it will soon be over with and you can start to breath again!!
