You got no taste then eh

Not really, no! I'm not really a "brand orientated" person. I don't see what a £50 item does better than a £10 item. I tend to go for the look of it and the quality of it rather than the brand.

£32 for shoes isn't all that bad though. I once spent £70 on a pair of Merrel boots (ok, not a designer brand, but usually good quality) as a treat, and have regretted it ever since as they aren't very comfortable and I tend to wear the £25 Hi-Tek ones I had already instead.

I'm at my happiest finding a T-shirt in Matalan for £3 or something.

I realised that matey. But I do have no taste in clothes, as my wife reminds me whenever I say "This is nice." when what I really mean is "this is cheap".
  • hello to u all, i am new to the board.
this thread reminded me of when my kids where younger, i could not afford labelled cloths for them so i used to go to charity shops buy something really cheap with a designer label and then sew it into a piece of clothing i bought from maybe ethel austins. and they never knew the difference.( we laugh about it now)
  • welcome to the boards goldgirl,
i like the idea of taking more expesive labels out and putting it in other clothes. but its a shame kids or anyone should feel under pressure to have to conform to what is termed "fashionable". i go for individuality every time.

Ha ha, LMFAO!!! That is exactly what I do too!!

I always have a look at the price tag before I decide if its nice or not. Too expensive? I didn't really like it any way!
