Why can't all sellers solve problems properly

Ive had 3 clothing items turn up this week that were described as ex or good condition, all of them have been stained when they turned up. 2 quite badly.
I always email first before leaving a fb as that's what i prefer my buyers to do.

1 seller gave me a refund straight away no need to return- will get good fb
2nd seller- said she didn't know what to do as her sister sorted her ebay for her !!!!!!
3rd-said sorry let me know what you want me to do

what is it with sellers not willing to resolve an issue quickly and faffing around. 1st seller a* for quick reply/rectifying but the other 2,
anyone else get these awkward sellers?

I want a resolution to my problem not a back and fore conversation or to give the seller an answer to my problem, thats for them to offer surely?
No wonder some buyers find it easier to leave a neg.

Only cheap items so not worth sending back but a partial refund or even just the offer to send back and refund would be nice. Maybe one day i'll get a seller who refunds return postage like i would if i'd described something wrong.

No problems with sellers so far but just had a buyer win a dualit kettle i put on and not claim it, when i investigated their feedback was lots of others saying this person bids on things then does not claim?
    why?!?!

Be fair to no. 3 - what DO you want? Is it unwearable and you want to return it? Or do you really like it and want a partial refund?
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
