Thank you everyone for you good wishes,
thanks ifw for the checklist - helped calm my nerves
As of 2pm today I was declared bankrupt
For those like I was here's the run down of my day...
Was too early for court (I'd not been round that area of the city before so made sure I had plenty of time) even then some chap got in front of me for the Q when they opened the counter so was second in to see the clerk.
by 10:30 was in with a very very nice lady (I even ended up giving her one of my business cards after we talked about what I do) who checked the forms added some details that I missed and took the fees. She said I'd have to speak to the OR office when I came back at 2pm after the judge had done whatever judges do..
I felt a quiet sense of relief especially as she affirmed that none of them could hassle me anymore they had to deal with the OR.
Felt up to eating so got some lunch (DH had given me some money) and for the first time in I can't remember how long I didn't have a feeling of guilt about spending money on something to eat out
Went back to court for 2pm and was called in last. Had a 20 minute call in their office to the OR's office to go through some information because they won't get the actual forms for a couple of days and I'm self employed so have to carry on in business and I also have a house that won't sell so there's a tenant in it at the moment (that's been another nightmare)
Finally back home with feet up having a cuppa and saying thanks to all you lovely folk, when it came to the event thanks to everything I've learnt here over the last few months meant I felt fine despite the nerves.
