Will try a different user name etc then. Thanks. I assumed it based it on me and I can't change me! ;-)

If we assume that there is already a default, then would I be best off just letting BLS take the debt and agree a plan with them? WOuld it get any worse?

Or, if there is no default, would it be best to try and keep it with Lloyds somehow? if so, any tips on how?

Thanks for your help everyone. Took a lot for me to come on here really. So scared of family members (parents etc) finding out about the debt. My dad's lectures would be harder to bear than the actual debts! ;-). You'd think it would be nobody's elses business when you're mid 30's wouldnt you?! ;-)

Well if it was me and there was a big fat D sitting on my credit file, I'd accept it and make sure that no others appeared. I would then agree on a small amount each month, on the understanding that no interest was added. Then I'd save the other money up in a different bank and approach them in due course with a Full and Final Offer, because you had come in to a 'windfall'. The fact that you had been paying a small amount each month and it was taking forever to pay, and then suddenly you offer a nice few k would normally mean a discount of upto 50% ;)
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies

    Good point Stebiz...thanks.

I have got one of my credit reports back and have looked through it. The ones that had plans that have finished are all shown as Up to Date, which is good. The ones with plans all say "AP" as in "Arrangement to Pay". there are no "D"'s on the months, and nothing in the Default Date box, however, under a box entitled "Default/Delinquent Balance", it states the balance of those cards. Does this mean there is no default? I know AP isnt' great for now, but if those cards revert back as the others have then that's good I'd have thought? Just want to be clear if this is a Default situation or not.

Will post this separately aswell in case I catch a few people who havent read my Lloyds thread ;-)
