My OH has just broken her spectacles and I've suggested she try Asda as I know they do good deals. Thing is, both of us have our lenses reduced in thickness otherwise they'd be bottles.
Do Asda offer that as an option - whether payable or not? Can't see anything on their website.

I am sitting in my 1.9 high index glasses courtesy of Asda. They will offer you high index if your prescription requires it. FYI I got 1.9 based on my -14.5 prescriptionThere are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0

Yes they do as I recently (December) bought two new pairs of specs. I was quoted a price of £70 per pair.
I personally turned it down but my frames are quick thick anyway (from their designer selection) so it did minimise the bottle effect.
Hope that helps0 -
Yes they do, the complete list is on their website.

since october 2009 it's been £70 for a pair of designer glasses or 2 for £90. This includes an antiscratch coating, anti-reflective coating and thinned down lenses (if the prescription requires it) and is available to all single vision prescriptions from -20.00 to +20.00 with a maximum cyl of 5. George glasses cost £50 per pair or 2 for £90.
For varifocals it's £110 per pair, £130 if you buy 1 pair of varis and one pair single vision and £170 if you buy 2 pairs of varis.
Sunglasses tint is £10 extra, transitions costs £30 extra and UV coating is £10 extra (or free for kids).0
