We are having similar issues with Mercers, I have now started down the route of complaint with them, as I will not put up with it.

I know that they can't do anything now, but I object to them writing and phoning constantly when they know we are bankrupt.

I will update as and when anything happens!

I will look forward to reading about it in Ombudsman News (which will no doubt one day be a guest publication on Have I Got News For You)

I agree with what others have said, send all letters on to your OR.

Im having the same problems with Moorcroft, and i sent them my BR order.. twice.. but they saying they not received it. Anyway last letter i called the trustee who told me to forward everything to him and he had been getting it alot of late, due to santander selling the debts on.
Iv had another letter this moring:

    midaslegalservices

Dear YES WE DO KNOW YOUR BANKRUPT JUST WANT TO ANNOY YOU

    To the OP,

I too went BR last year and received threatening letters from at least three creditors some months afterwards. In two cases I called my OR (trustee actually) explaining the letters I was receiving and they asked me to forward on to them, which I did. I never heard any more from these creditors.
The third, Tesco, whose letters I just decided to ignore, eventually took me to court. I actually found this a bit of a worry but did as suggested in this forum and completed the defence form saying I was BR and to contact my trustee. A month or so later I received a letter from Tesco lawer saying the case was dropped. Since then I also got a statement from Tesco regarding the debt (personal loan) and it showed a zero balance and account closed.

It never got to the stage where I could get a CCJ or baliff visit.

    Regards,
    dack

  • Hello Bradleigh, as sizzler says ignore them, don't ring or write. It has happened to us all and I know it is annoying but let go, the OR will sought it out.
    Take care

Fine, but what if it is the DWP that is doing it?
