    Hi there,

When I went BR it took about three weeks before bank frozen my business account.

Once you go BR remember not touch it. Any concerns speak to OR once BR.

my OR asked me on the day of my BR about accounts but some dont get an OR interview the same day but I do know that once you go BR banks cant be touched unless you get the OR ok on it,and the OR will be asking about any money withdraws from your accounts before BR.
  • Thanks Sizzler & sniggings
The cheque was written on 8/3 so I expected it to have been put through by now :(
I won't be touching the account I know that, I don't know if they have banked the Q or not - so have left that amount in the account in hopes they get it in time
Guess that's another point for the additional info :)

OMG how likely is it the OR will want full details on the day?
I wanted to get copies of everything into a file to back up info rather than scattered round the house

o right i was thinking it was a cheque payed into your account,so in this case it will either be payed by the bank but could very well be reclaimed back by your OR as all your crediors are intitled to a share of that money or if not payed then it gos into your BR estate.

Generally on the day of BR you may get a quick phone call just to go over a few things, and arrange a date for your proper interview.

they ask you about your accounts on the day, this is when you tell them what basic account you are using etc but they don't have statements etc on the day don't worry, they will write to you and request these

m8 no worries there,no one and i do mean no one could have know less details then me,all the OR asks is which accounts and when was the last time you used credit cards etc she will have your account info already as its on your forms and all the other stuff she will get from the creditors, shes just after a feeling of the situation thats it.
  • Thanks sniggings
If it bounces for them, I'll have to deal with it directly as I'd feel a bit responsible cos it's payment to non-profit organisation.
    Thanks dojoman
    Heart attack averted - :)
I need to get my business accounts finalized and printed up
I assume I need to close year on BR day, then start new day after to tax year end.. then hopefully back to normal tax year.

    Thanks all
