Remortgage dilemma

Hi.
My fixed rate mortgage is up in June, I've accepted (in principal I think) to stay with my current lender on another 3yr fixed for 4.89% (no fees), however I've found out Northern Rock are doing a 3.99% fixed for 2 years with no fees (except admin charge) but I was just wondering if anyone knows if they are now a reliable company or is it still a bit hit and miss with them.
Thanks
