is there a maximum distance to travel set under tupe? if i'm transfered under tupe could i be expected to travel from london to southampton everyday?
if the distance is to far can i reject the tupe offer?
if so am i making myself redundant and don't qualify for redundancy pay?
sorry for so many questions but it gets very confusing

My understand is that there is no set distance other than is has to be reasonable, our company classed it as no more than 30miles and no more than 30mins travel time from current location.
I'd say your change of location is unreasonable at 80miles and 1hr 45mins travel time with clear traffic which you're not going to get with rush hour travelling, so I could see it being reasonable for you to get redundancy if you didn't want to go or get a good deal if you did (travel costs for set period, relocation costs, trail period with no risk to redundancy if move wasn't for you)0 -
would it be easier to get the train? Have you considering moving to Southampton or the surrounding area?0

Through TUPE the new company will undertaken your current conditions, your length of employment is see as being continuous0

i get the support i need where i live now i don't want to go through having to set up a new support team in a new area
Southampton to London is less than an hour and a half on the train; many people commute in ever day and the trains will be comparatively empty going in the other direction.
You might find it easier to set up a new support team compared to finding another job.0 -

do i have to accept being tupe?
think you won't get a say, current company transfers you to new company, you carry on at current location. New company decide to relocation team in which they make you an offer or make you redundent based on your current contract conditions0 -
