Questions regarding OR interview

I am not at this stage yet but would like to know a bit more about the OR inrerview.
Is it usally by phone?
Are you allowed to have a appointment to suit you. I would need to fit it in around work and would need to do it at home due to privacy etc, do they allow you some say in the time date etc.
I think I would come under Birmingham does anyone know what they are like there. How likely is a face to face interview?
Sorry for all the questions but I just want to know in advance what happens.
Thanks

it's hard to say whether it would be phone or face to face, a lot of people on here tend to have phone but depends on your circumstances
my appointment didn't suit me as i couldn't get that day off work, so i just rang and rearranged, they are flexible don't worry0 -
Thanks, Just want to know as much as I can beforehand. No bussiness involved etc. personal debt and no house etc.
I do live quite a long way from birmingham dont know how they decide if its face to face or not.sonnyboy0 -
Officially you have to attend when the OR says so, but most OR's are a little flexible and you can usually come to some sort of arrangement, If you ever miss an appointment however you will usually find that they become less flexible the second time roundHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -

Our OR was quite flexible with our interview appointments, as long as you do not take the proverbial you will be fine.:pB&SC No. 298

Our or office when we spoke to them originally on day of bankruptcy asked if we had to go into office were there any considerations that were needed - I explained I was pregnant and that had two very young children both under 2.
They were gr8, rang hubby a couple of days later and asked if tuesday coming at 9 was ok on the home phone? They didnt just send our appointment out. So they do take into consideration your circumstances.BSC # 308I should really rename myself mummytothree!!! Child no3 born 14/09/10ED 12/01/110
