I'm on BT option 2, was on a offer until april and now its going up to 20.99 a month shocking:eek:
I do have sky currently but obviously will be getting rid of it soon I could have free internet with them but have to get rid due to going BR in the future.
What shall I do, ? I need the internet. I applyed for a free computer for my kids on that homeaccess scheme but didnt apply for internet as i had it.. now I wish I had!..
Bt said if I want to go on there lower tariff I would have to do a new 12 month contract. Will the OR be angry with me? Need help as we do everything in the internet...

BT is a rip off.. how does 5.99 a month sound? Try http://www.plus.net/
I use O2, which normally costs me 7.50 a month (no download limits) but i negotiated a free year when i took out a new O2 mobile phone contract. Without the contract O2 normally charge 12.50 for broadband0 -
No. Leave the internet as an expense as with school aged children it is a justifyable expense.
You don't have to get rid of sky either. If you really cannot afford it, then let it go but you can keep it if you can. The expense is not allowed in your SOA but you can spread the cost over other expenses or pay for it out of your surplus. Can you not reduce the package? I only have basic plus kids (it's worth the £20 a month for the kids channels alone!!) Sky also have my calls as I went with them as calling my Dad is Spain is free. And my BB and line rental. I pay £45 a month tops for it all-in now. With a full sky package and movies (that I didn't watch), I was at one point paying Sky £50 a month, BT £25 for calls and line rental, and AOL £15 for BB!!!!
Anyway - back to your Sky. For £30 a month, you can have basic TV and kids, plus line rental, plus free weekend calls and free basic BB. For £40 a month, you can have the same basic TV and kids, line rental, upgrade the calls and go for mid BB.
Have a play with your finances and see what you can manage.0 -
what about Virgin they do the full package and they were offering two months free on the TV package you can get the TV, broadband and line rental on the phones and a calls deal. Try them x0

I was with Tiscali who were good and cheap (no BT line at all) but I think they have changed to Talk Talk and not sure how good the packages are now - but I think most of them have good offers for new customers.
Good luck Karen
