Canon EOS 5D [possible misprice?]

Just spotted that Jacobs have listed the Canon 5D digital SLR body for £1599.

And you can claim an extra £200 cashback from direct from Canon (this offer has just been extended to the end of October).

The price before the cashback is already about £200 cheaper than anyone else, I suspect it is a mistake.

If you were thinking of getting one, this would be a good time!

Awesome camera, just a shame I can't afford it at all.

I'll make the most of my Kodak P850 for now.

Hmmmm, a few lines down it says

    "Final price after cashback £1699.99"

So definitely a mistake in the heading.

I noticed, but if you add it to your basket the price really is £1599 - and that is without the cashback.
  • just had a look at some of thier other prices and they all seem to be about £200 less than others
e.g. the nikons just down below the canons

If that is the price AND you get £200 cashback then that is a bargain (if you've got a spare £1400!) - Cameras2U price is £1649 after cashback.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I went into jessops about a year back, showed them an offer in a photograpy mag for camera (about £299) and they were happy to match the offer, which was about £39 less than their in store price. Anyone think they would match this offer - you could save on delivery charge then.

Guess it was a misprice then. If only I had had £1400 to spare this morning...!
