Could you ask someone else (that you trust!) to keep the key to your lockable box? (Or set the combination for it so that you don't know the number if it's one of those sort?)

What i think you need to learn is maybe some self control and tell yourself you dont need them sweets or clothing etc, maybe try have a think if theres something you would like to save up for as that may make you think twice about spending money when you have soemtihng to save for.

Save a bit and spend a bit. That way you get the best of both worlds.

Allow yourself a certain amount each week for treats. Don't go back for more.

Firstly, for example, think of sweets. How much pleasure do they give you and for how long? And remember that once they're eaten, they're gone. Sounds simple but I used to waste loads of money on junk food.

Then think of something pricey you want. Think how many packets of sweets for example you'd have to go without to get it, and then do that.

Also, maybe get a part time job? At 9, I was doing jobs for neighbours, and at 14 I was working on a market stall on the weekends (I am only 24 now so it's not that long ago, and still doable), and of course there's babysitting, dogwalking and paper rounds.
