Mr Brown said: "I will not allow house prices to get out of control and put at risk the sustainability of the future." He said he was determined that the UK should not return to the "instability, speculation and negative equity" of the 1980s and 1990s.
I did e-mail my MP regarding this. Didn`t get a reply. Hmmmmm.

It would be more reassuring if it was a lie, because that would mean the Gordon Brown realised that abolishing boom and bust is impossible.
The scary thing would be if he actually believed what he was saying!0 -

as gordon clarified when pressed on this matter, "what i actually said was no return to tory boom and bust".
this was another lie, as he did actually say no return to boom and bust about 1,000,000 times.0 -

And even if he had said "no return to tory boom & bust" it would have been meaningless. Clearly a Labour government can't return to tory anything, by definition.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

My personal favourite was "a weak currency is the result of a weak economy, which is the result of a weak government".0

Years of him in the House of Commons mocking the Conservatives with his 'no more boom and bust' line.
He repeated that line over 100 times in the House of Commons.
