I need various work done on my teeth. I have a HC2 certificate. Now, what I want to know, does the certificate cover everything?
What I need is a check-up, possibly a filling and a filing. May need a tooth removed at some point. As it's comng through now, I don't think it can be removed just yet?

It will cover all NHS treatment.
If you have a gum condition that needs treatment, then the practice you attend as an NHS patient is obliged to treat that condition - be it by the dentist giving the teeth a good thorough clean up, or by sending you to the hygienist.
Your certificate will cover that. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
