Should I chase up car dealer? Help please.

Hi there, I am looking for some advice about a car I bought yesterday from an independant dealer. I am really pleased with the price I got it for and am generally really happy with the car. I have, however, got a few niggles that I am not sure wether I should just put up with or if I should go back.
I noticed a scratch on the windscreen - the dealer told me it was from being valeted and not a scratch but it does indeed seem to be a scratch.
I asked the dealer about the technical specs/handbook and told me that the book in the car was it - however it is just the initial warranty/handbook from the manufacturer and has no technical specs in it.
The drivers side seatbelt does not run back into the holder when I take the belt off - I have to feed it back in.
Are these just daft wee niggles I should forget about or should I go back to the dealer? He appears to be a reasonable man and I don't want to take the mick by going back if this is just something I should expect from an 8 year old car.
Any help/advice gratefully received.

How much was the car? How old was it?0

If you are not happy with it then take it back to him and see what he says, So long as you are pleasant etc with him and do not make un-reasonable demands I'm sure you can sort something out. Like you say he seems a reasonable man.
Contrary to popular belief, Not all dealers are the devil. :PWar does not decide who is right, It decides who is left.0 -
I paid £3000 for it and it is not quite 8 years old. I've not got a problem with the price at all.
The reason I am reluctant to take it back is that I had to take it back 10 minutes after getting it as the remote locking wasn't working (just turned out to both batteries on the keys). I don't want the man thinking I am a pernickity witch but I just think that I am paying a lot of cash (well - a lot for me) and I want it to be ok.0 -
The seat belt could be a safety issue if it's not working properly so I would definitely ask if he could please sort that out. Depends if it's a scratch or a crack and where it is (ie directly in the driver's line of vision again could restrict your view slightly). Cracks can be a problem, I belive scratches can be polished out if you know how.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Thanks for that, wasn't sure if the seatbelt thing was a safety issue or not. The window is def a scratch not a crack but it is right in my line of vision - thought I would just need to chamois it.
Will head back up on Monday.0 -
Pull the seat belt all the way out, it may have a slight twist somewhere. The important thing is, if you yank it, does it hold?0

I will try that in the morning to see - I am not very clued up about anything car wise so it may be as simple as that.
Thank you0 -

Just as important is that it retracts automatically so it stays snug when you are using it0 -
The seatbelt not retracting is an mot fail so technically the car is unroadworthy. I would defineatly be querying that if fully extending it all the way does not fix it, otherwise youll be hit with a bill come mot time.
The windscreen scratch should polish out with a cerium oxide polishing kit off ebay or a classic car type place, the felt drill buffer and polish is only about 8 quid. if it was like that when you viewed the car it would be unreasonable to expect the dealer to fix it unless he promised to as part of the deal IMO, same with the handbook, but you can pick one of those up on ebay for buttons.0 -

Not always, taken from the oficial MOT test guide HERE
5. Fasten each belt locking mechanism and try to pull the locked sections apart. On retracting seat belts, check that with the mechanism fastened and the seat unoccupied, excess webbing is wound into the retracting unit.
Note: Some types of retracting belt might need manual help before they retract.0
