mortgage query

i have a life time tracker which paperwork says is totally portable and can come with me if if sell up and buy another house,i plan to move in with my girlfriend who has a mortgage on her house,is it possible for me to to buy girlfriends house with my lifetime tracker

    Yes. This is called porting. However, this will mean that your girlfriend is selling the property and that you are buying the property at that said price.

    So this is a brand new mortgage application which will include solicitors! Stamp duty! New survey valuation etc etc.

    And subject to current underwriting, which means you are not guaranteed being able to port your mortgage - as previous posters have found out.

    thanks,is there any way i could make the life time tracker a joint mortgage with my girlfriend?
