Advice re AQA for newbie DFW

Hi
I've been accepted today as a researcher for AQA. Yay!
Does anyone currently do this? How have you dealt with the Inland Revenue?
Is it worth signing up with AQA after NI and tax?
Some advice would be great and muchly appreciated.
Thanks
