Of course! Foods never becomes inedible on the stroke of midnight. If it was chilled when you bought it and it's been chilled ever since it should be fine to eat for several days yet.0

If you don't want to have to eat that chicken in the next few days you could always bung it in the freezer now for when you do want it. Or cook it in something nice and freeze that in single portions for when you're too busy to cook one evening0

before you cook it, give it a sniff. You can really smell when chicken (or any meat) is off0

I've just had to chuck out a chicken that was use by date today...it smelled horrible despite being refridgerated since purchase

You should retrieve it and take it back to the shop, there shouldnt be a problem with a refund.
OP, best thing is to smell it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It should be ok to eat, wouldn't keep it much longer though0

It was only a £3 chicken and I think it would cost more in petrol and hassle to take it back. Otherwise I would return it.
The bin now stinks to high heaven

wrap it in some newspaper and then put it in a plastic bag and tie it up - that should help with the smellThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o
