Help!!

Here goes with a long tale of woe. A few years back had to consolidate debts and foolishly took out a loan with ge money. Hate to say it but about £30k. Have a mortgage with halifax fixed til 2014. owe about £73k.
I lost my job in november being made redundant and now that the package has run out i fear that we will lose our home to repossesion. I now have a new job but is only part time, on top of this we have twins due in less than 10 weeks to go along with our 2yr old. My wife has now packed up work but will return after mat leave.
Any suggestions on what to do next??

Both the loan companies are unwilling to drop redemption penalties which if they did would allow us to drop our house price and hopefully sell it. Any ideas on getting them to help???

Lastly anyone got any good ideas on cheap baby bits, no idea on the sexes of the new ones.

Hi and welcome rubbleb, first thing Make a list of all your creditors, debts, assets.
Secondly and most important is contact one of the following debt charities:-

Consumer Credit Counselling Service - Website: CCCS Telephone: 0800 138 1111
National Debtline - Website: National Debtline Telephone: 0808 808 4000
Citizens Advice Bureau - Website: Citizens Advice or visit your local CAB centre (find nearest)

Please try these they don't charge and are impartial, try at least two.

I'm sorry, not a nice situation to be in! Contact one of the above and anything else we can do ask away.
