Step 13, Part 2
Have you been subjected to an administration order under Part VI of the County Courts Act 1984
Does this mean a CCJ ?

no, an administration order was sort of like a mini bankruptcy/IVA/DMP, they are hardly ever used nowdays, especially with DRO's arriving

Thanks and now the last bit and finished ..
    'reason for bankcruptcy'
Major problem as I have been in debt since 1992; In that time, I've went through numerous Credit Cards and topped up a Bank Loan just about every other year leading up to this point.
Dates are practically out of the question so stumped with this. I have up to Monday to come up with the answers.

think about these questions, when did you first get credit and why

Did anything happen that significantly changed your financial situation, lost job, split from patner etc.

When did you last use credit to a) buy new stuff and b) to recycle other credit

I was in a similar situation to you. I'll PM you my reasons if you like (be warned... they're long, but having asked a few 'experts' if it was too long they confirmed it was fine to be that detailed - in fact the judge and OR thanked me for being so thorough) - it might at least give you a starting point.

PM away, sounds like a good idea; need as much help as possible (seeing this as a huge obstacle at the mo). Cheers.

dont worry to much about it, it wont mean your application being rejected, it just means that the better you explain yourself the shorter your interview is likely to be

confuzzled7, received the PMs. Have copy/pasted together so will read it all in one go, thanks for that.

debtinfo, so glad to know that it won't be rejected on the back of this as that thought was creeping in so this is a relief. Cheers.
  • I think, as debtinfo said, having a more detailed statement is just likely to cut down the length of time spent being interviewed by the OR. I went BR last Weds and have only briefly spoken to the OR to arrange a time for my interview, but he did say the interview would only last about 10mins and would basically be running through my SoA as I'd been so thorough with my reasons. It depends what suits you really. I'm a 'written word person' so I was keen to try and get that right - I know I'm likely to be nervous and more flustered when speaking to someone, so it made sense for me to focus on the written statement.

I'm sure your application won't be rejected however ropey you reasons are or aren't. After all, you can't change what's been and gone.

    Good luck.
